My mind is just blank and tired right now, and of all places, I have been missing and really aching to go back to the desert! Though we have lots of sand here from the beaches in San Diego, but I am missing the desert's sand!
I truly miss the time I am rolling and hiking in this desert full of sand!
to better understand my appreciation for the desert as much as the mountains and the oceans, you can visit my post here "The Desert Through My Eyes".
Anyway, have been everywhere today, I believe that's what happen when the mind is very tired! You just simply want to walk...walk...and walk....and enjoy the fullness of life in our natural world! Here's my weekend reality right now in San Diego, thankfully, though have been busy, but the outdoors have not taken a backseat at all.
Life by the Beach ( would you believe this is actually right next to the beach? )

ReplyDeletehi, betchai!i missed you.i'm surprised you miss the desert.i wouldn't even wanna set foot there hehe.it's been freaking hot here in the phil.but when it rains,it's a deluge of rain so it's really a freak weather we have here lately.best regards!
ReplyDeletethanks bengbeng and rochelle. i love the desert, when i did not know much about it before, i also thought it's the last place i want to be, but when i started to get a deeper understanding of the desert, i find it to be one of the world's fascinating places on Earth, a place of immense beauty but yes, not for everybody probably to appreciate since many would think of desert as a simple wasteland, which happily, is not.
ReplyDeletehi Beth! i am so happy to see you here again. i hope your busy schedule is not eating up your life outdoors. i can understand why you miss the sands. be it desert sands or beach sands, it surely make a happy feet. :)

ReplyDeleteThe time you miss the sand, I have been missing you. Feeling like stop chatting with an old friend for a long time.
ReplyDeleteDo take are.
Thanks for showing how beautiful and diverse the desert can be.
ReplyDeleteBut as for beach sand, I don't miss that and I am surprised that any sand is actually left at the beach as you seem to always bring so much home with you in the car.
I love walking the beach, and appreciating the sand. I have never been to the desert, but it is such a mysterious, and lovely place, even with all its dryness.
ReplyDeleteI'm not going to repeat what everyone here had said, but heck..I miss you too!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful photos Betchai..
Hi Betchai, the desert, mountains and beach look amazing through your eyes. I didn't realize Death Valley was so beautiful. Your pictures are gorgeous!
ReplyDeleteBeing from the East Coast, I have never been to the desert but have always wanted to go.
ReplyDeleteYour travel pictures are always breathtaking betchai :)
ReplyDeleteI love the contrast between sands and the mountain in the background.
Hi Bets, I did that mosaic by PS, just a little practice while my coach is away for 2 months.
ReplyDeleteThe ride towards Big Bear was tough and I am beginning to overcome my fear of heights. Every time I see someone behind me, I always pull over at the nearest turn about. I always follow the posted sign.
Thanks for your kind comments, it gives me more inspiration to work harder on the PS tutorial!
Kimchai girlash! i miss the sand too and the desert Bethchai, but i miss you more than the sand and the desert :)
ReplyDeletelove all your pics Bethchai good to hear from you, we miss you Beth.

Car
oh death valley, one of my favorite national park! Excellent picture as usual betchai!
ReplyDeleteThe rolling sand dunes are lovely. Are those your footprints in the distance? So remote, you could be the only person making an imprint there.
ReplyDeleteI understand what it's like to miss a place where you don't get to go very often. I've never been to a desert, and I don't know if I want to, but I think I know why you miss it.
ReplyDeleteBetchai > Forgive me for not reading what you wrote because your photos are impressive. I love the editing you did on the photos. Or maybe the beauty of the scene were just so outstanding.
ReplyDeleteI was so captured for a moment by the photos, losing my focus on what you wrote. hehe
Good job!
I love the potpourri of pictorial gallery. Just walk through your dreams Madam. Love the sandy desert to bury my feet. Must be tickling hot!

ReplyDeleteHiya, dropping by. The pics really bring out my inner peace :)
ReplyDeleteBeautiful pictures. Where did you find the mountain color? We went up to Cuyamaca two weeks ago, but not much color up there this year.
ReplyDeleteReally? The desert sand is that nice? I don't know cos I have never been to a desert before!
ReplyDeleteCool photos! Especially that Life By The Beach photo : )
Wow, the Death Valley pix is so stunning! All of the pictures are really well taken. You captured the scenery and objects with great lighting which is why the colors are so brilliant. Great job!
ReplyDeleteBetchai, these photographs are spectacular! I've never been to Death Valley, so close to me! Guess I need to stop cavorting about Europe and focus a little on some of the beautiful places nearer home! I've never been a desert person but it does have its own beauty!
ReplyDeleteHello Beth! miss you! i love all the photos as always but my favorite is the photo of "The Hills and Valleys"....i too miss the feel of sand on my feet...hmmmmm i'll dream of that tonight...see you! mwah!
