@ Rose Garden, Balboa Park ( free everyday for everyone, all year)
Still enjoying my summer break, this Tuesday, I went to Balboa Park to visit the museums that are free on 2nd Tuesdays. Balboa Park offers 15 museums, and every Tuesday, certain group of museums are free admission to the residents. Aside from the museums, Balboa Park has various gardens, which are year round free to everyone.

Anyway, my walk at Balboa Park always start at the Cactus Garden, which is adjacent to the Rose Garden.

Except for the museums and the San Diego Zoo, the gardens and other recreational centers in Balboa Park are free. Though I usually spend most of my time in the gardens, but I do love spending some time indoors too in the museums. Last Tuesday, being the 2nd Tuesday of the month, I visited the scheduled free museums which were: Veterans Museum and Memorial Center, San Diego History Museum and Museum of Photographic Arts.

When I saw the image above of men laboring to build the Mission Dam, somehow, some tears went slowly running. Maybe because the image also reminded me partly of our Philippines' History, and part of San Diego's history is similar to the Philippines, being under the Spanish dominion.
Butterflies @ Butterfly Garden
I had lunch at the Butterfly Garden, and sure enough, the butterflies entertained me. I was happy to be guided by some of the fluttering butterflies to the unusual duo below.
Green Beetle and Bee @ Butterfly Garden
It seems that the green beetle and the bee were in harmony sharing the sweet nectar of that same flower. However, the bee after a while left the green beetle alone and kept on moving from one flower to another flower.

Meanwhile, this green beetle let me photographed himself more. :) Of course, after a while, I left him to enjoy his lunch, while I moved to the Botanical Building.
